The lion, also known as King of the Jungle, is a fascinating creature. The lion is a magnificent animal that symbolizes power, courage and nobility in many civilizations. Lions at one time, could be found in Greece, the Middle East and all the way north to India, but only a very small population remains in India. Africa used to be home to many lions but nowadays they are mostly confined to the sub-Saharan region. A beautiful creature we all should strive to protect.
